What is VoIP?
VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol, a technology used to send voice and digital video signals over the Internet. Using advanced communication protocols such as SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), H.323 or other systems of ownership, one can call or video conferencing, and other using the same technology from around the world. Using the equipment necessary for your computer as a webcam, headset and VoIP software, you can communicate with audio and video signals through the network. Videos for mobile VoIP, you can connect directly to the Internet and make video calls.
How VoIP sends voice or video signal?
Webcams and microphones capture sound and video images and converts them into digital signals. These signals are then digitally and sent via the internet through a VoIP software provider. The signal is then received by the person you are calling, as long as they use the VoIP software on their end. However, with the video phone, you can do so much with a webcam or PC and connect directly to the Internet and start a video call.
What is a VoIP video phone?
A VoIP video phone is different from the normal or standard phone because they can be connected directly to the Internet via a built-in Ethernet port. They can communicate directly through the network gateway or through another computer to another VoIP phone. No need to use a computer for video calls and all you need is a broadband or DSL Internet connection. You can make video phone anywhere in the world and still make video calls back to family, friends or business partners to connect to the Internet only.
